Elizabeth Taylor’s top jewelry and haute couture exposed to public
New York, local time on December 1, Christie’s auction use all the space in its New York showroom to do the exhibition and auction of Elizabeth Taylor’s most prized assets. There will also be part of the Taylor collection only for online auctions.
In Christie’s auction, there are more than 2,000 items, among which 950 will be online sale. These items fall into the categories of clothing accessories, fine jewelry, designer celebrity dresses and accessories, decorative arts and objects. Online auction will be held December 3 to 17 at. Although Christie’s had since 2006 carried out real-time online bidding auction, this is the first auction site in a private collection for sale separately from the network of auction.
Live auction of “Elizabeth Taylor’s collection” with four-day duration, will be held from 13 to 16 December. The most representative item is the Taylor’s Jewelry. The fine jewelry, fashion celebrity dress, accessories, decorative art and movie memorabilia will be sold as well. The online auction will be used as supplement of the live auction. The exhibition collections of impressionist and modern art will be in London in February 2012 on auction.

In addition to our live auction, an increase of this special, limited part of the online auction. The online auction allows the collectors from around the world to participate in this landmark, two-week auction activities. ”
Currently, a part of the collection is on the tour exhibition around the world. After that they return to New York auction house Christie’s exhibition hall. Then they will be on the final exhibition and sale.
Online auction includes fashion celebrity dresses and accessories, top designer dresses, coats, shawls, handbags and other designer good. The collection of these categories will appear in the live auction as well. Online auction items include over 500 pieces of fine jewelry and clothing accessories, including decorative arts era jewelry, Cartier, Chanel, Ruser and signature Dior designer jewelry.
